What is collected
Like every web server, the server keeps standard access logs (requested page, time, browser type, IP address) for security and troubleshooting. They are rotated and deleted on a short schedule and are not used to identify visitors. Nothing else is collected while you browse.
02
Cookies and local storage
The site sets no cookies. If you switch between light and dark mode, the choice is kept in your own browser's local storage so the site remembers it; it never leaves your device and you can clear it with your browser's site data.
03
Visit counts
The site uses Farol, a self-hosted instance of the open-source Umami analytics software running on the operator's own server in the European Union. It counts page views and which links on the home page are used. It uses no cookies, stores no IP addresses and creates no identifier that could follow you across sites or sessions. If your browser blocks it, the site works exactly the same.
04
Search
Search queries are processed on the server and are not stored beyond the access log.
05
Contact and corrections
If you write to the help desk, your message and address are kept only as long as needed to handle the request.
06
Athletes' data and photographs
Athlete pages reproduce publicly documented sporting facts from open sources. Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences and are shown with attribution. If you are the subject or the photographer and believe a photograph is shown without a valid licence, say so through the help desk and it will be removed while the licence is checked.
